Mindkore is a non-alkalized cacao powder selected for its natural flavanol profile. The new batch is guaranteed to contain at least 8% total flavanols; final batch-specific values are published after independent laboratory analysis.
25 × 5 g servings.
50 × 5 g servings.
100 × 5 g servings.
This is the guaranteed minimum for the batch currently available for pre-order. Final batch-specific laboratory values will be published after analysis.
Why Mindkore is different
We focus on documented composition and batch-specific laboratory data rather than vague labels.
100% cacao powder, with no added ingredients.
Explore flavanol research →Batch-specific flavanol data are published after analysis, including measured molecular fractions such as epicatechin.
View epicatechin details →Flavanols, methylxanthines and selected contaminants are independently tested and documented.

Explore cocoa flavanol studies
Researchers have studied cocoa flavanols in many different ways, from short cognitive tests to exercise studies, skin measurements, brain imaging and long term cardiovascular research.
In a controlled study using about 681 mg of cocoa flavanols, researchers saw a faster brain oxygen response. Participants also solved demanding cognitive problems 11% faster than after a very low flavanol control. In practical terms, the study tested how quickly people could work through difficult mental tasks under controlled conditions.
In a two week crossover trial with flavanol rich dark chocolate, researchers found a higher gas exchange threshold and better performance in a short time trial. The gas exchange threshold is a marker used during exercise testing to show when breathing and energy demand begin to rise more sharply.
In an eight week study, cognitively healthy older adults received cocoa drinks containing 48, 520 or 993 mg of flavanols per day. Researchers found better performance on specific tests of executive function and verbal fluency in the higher intake groups. These tests look at skills such as switching between tasks, processing information and quickly producing words.
In a 12 week high flavanol cocoa study, researchers measured skin blood flow, hydration, density, roughness and the response to controlled UV exposure. Participants showed less UV induced redness together with improvements in several of the measured skin parameters.
A three month intervention using 900 mg of cocoa flavanols combined brain imaging with memory related testing. Researchers found increased cerebral blood volume in the dentate gyrus, a small part of the hippocampus that is involved in memory. The study therefore looked at both a measurable brain change and cognitive performance.
Cocoa flavanols help maintain the elasticity of blood vessels, which contributes to normal blood flow. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg of cocoa flavanols, DP1 to DP10. For cocoa powder, the authorised claim applies to a cocoa beverage that provides this daily intake. This is the health effect in this timeline that has been formally authorised in the EU.
Cocoa flavanol research varies widely in dose, duration, participants and measured outcomes. Mindkore publishes its batch specific flavanol composition so those measured values can be compared transparently with the scientific literature. Final values for the new batch will be published after independent analysis.
The EU authorised claim above may be used only when its conditions of use are met. A varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important.
